Only available in the UK until now, the Linx TJ125 and TJ225 incorporate thermal inkjet (TIJ) technology and offer users reliability, minimal maintenance and a low cost of ownership thanks to the integrated printhead and ink cartridge system. 

Designed for coding onto porous or uncoated surfaces such as cardboard, the Linx TJ125 and TJ225 are particularly suitable for secondary packaging such as outer cases, cartons or trays.

The Linx TJ125 and TJ225 offer users of analogue roller coders a low cost of ownership, digital solution with rapid message changeover capability. With the Linx TIJ range, users of low resolution drop-on-demand case coders can achieve a cleaner and higher quality print solution.

The printer system consists of a handheld controller for programming and set-up, connected to a small printhead assembly, into which the TIJ ink cartridge is inserted. Installation on the production line is so simple that customers can do it themselves; the only equipment required is a drill.

The disposable, single use cartridge with integral printhead, is key to the coders’ efficiency, as there is no risk of expensive printhead repairs or replacement.  Installing a new cartridge is a clear, simple process that takes seconds. 

Intelligence built into the cartridge ensures the printer is always set up correctly for the ink type and monitors the amount of ink that has been used, so a warning is displayed when ink is running low.

The Linx TJ125 model offers simple one or two-line coding, which can be enhanced with incremental software packs to create a fully featured coder with options including expiry date offset calculations. 

In addition, the Linx TJ225 offers up to four line printing and barcode printing as standard.  A further software option for the TJ225 adds datamatrix (2D barcode) printing.

Both models can print up to 12.5mm high at 300 dpi, for clean and crisp codes to a maximum print speed of 61m/min.
