Mainz, January 31, 2012 – SCHOTT has appointed Christophe Muguet as Vice President Global Syringe Business. Based in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Muguet leads the global syringe business activities of SCHOTT Pharmaceutical Packaging. His responsibilities include business development, product management, research and development and operations.
“Christophe is deeply familiar with the syringe business, and his expertise will help us further strengthening our presence and activities in this area”, said Andreas Reisse, Vice President, Business Segment Pharmaceutical Packaging at SCHOTT. “The field of pre-filled syringes made of glass and polymer is a growing market and Christophe’s insights and industry experience make him a strong addition to our team.”
Muguet joins SCHOTT from Becton Dickinson, where he was Vice President Industrial Operations which included responsibility for global operations of the company’s pharmaceutical systems business unit with six production sites in France, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom and the United States. Previously, Muguet held several positions at Becton Dickinson in the fields of supply chain, IT and planning. Altogether, he spent a total of 17 years at the US-based medical technology company. Prior to joining Becton Dickinson, Muguet worked in the fields of procurement, production and supply chain at GlaxoSmithKline and Serono. Christophe Muguet holds a master degree in Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers in Paris.
