Breaking News!
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Joe Corre, co-founder of cult lingerie brand, Agent Provocateur, and cutting-edge fashion house, Child of the Jago, has officially become an Illamasqua shareholder.
Renowned for his desire to push the boundaries of creativity, Joe built Agent Provocateur into a brand that’s synonymous with luxury and self-expression. And having worked with him on the first catwalk show for his new East End boutique, Child of the Jago, we were inspired by his bold, uncompromising approach.
It seems the appreciation is mutual, Joe (the son of the British fashion icon, Dame Vivienne Westwood) tells us. “I had no hesitation in grasping the opportunity to join Illamasqua – a British brand like no other! Born from visionary, passionate energy, which it exudes from every pore, Illamasqua celebrates the fundamental human desire for individual self-expression. It is therefore a brand that transcends all boundaries. I am extremely excited to be on board and helping to make it a brand to be seriously reckoned with”.
Joe will work alongside Illamasqua founder, Julian Kynaston, and Creative Director, Alex Box, to develop the brand’s performance, as well as exploring the possibility of launching a number of its own stand-alone Illamasqua stores. There are definitely exciting times ahead, so watch this space!
Speaking about the news, Julian Kynaston said: “We know that we have turned many heads since we opened our first counter in Selfridges Oxford St back in November 2008. To have turned Joe’s to the point where he really wanted to invest and become a part of the team, however, is an achievement, and one I am very excited about.”
