Hydrofleur™, marketed by Bedoukian
Research and manufactured by P2 is introduced at the World Perfumery
Congress in Nice, France.
Nice, France June 5th 2018 – Bedoukian Research
Inc., today presented at the World Perfumery Congress (WPC) in Nice,
France, Hydrofleur™, a new aroma ingredient with a very strong muguet
note. Hydrofleur is the first commercial product to come out of the
fragrance development collaboration between P2 Science, Inc and
Bedoukian started in 2014.
The presentation was made by Dr. Robert Bedoukian, CEO at a perfumer session of the WPC entitled The Past, Present and Future of Signature Perfume Ingredients, which
he hosted with Zerlina Dubois, Master Perfumer at Procter & Gamble.
Hydrofleur was demonstrated as an example of a very powerful aroma
chemical which can be used at levels as low as 1% that of traditional
ingredients in fragrance formulations and still deliver superior
olfactive results. The session was attended by several hundred perfumers
from around the world.
P2 is currently building its first manufacturing plant in Naugatuck,
CT. The plant will be in commercial production in Q4 of 2018 with
initial sales targeted at the flavor & fragrance and cosmetics
industries. One of the first products to be made on the plant will be
Hydrofleur which will be marketed exclusively by Bedoukian.
